Delta Air Lines is set to unveil its newest Sky Club in Concourse D at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, marking the first new Sky Club that Delta has opened in Atlanta in nearly ten years. This new lounge, located near Gate D18, has been under construction for three years and will provide more than 500 additional seats.

The lounge is located on two levels above the departures concourse and includes self-service entry kiosks, two reception desks, and a marble-clad lobby with stairs and two elevators. Inside, visitors will find seating for more than 500 guests in a space that spans over 24,000 square feet, making it the largest lounge in Atlanta.

Claude Roussel, Delta's lounge chief, commented, "This is going to be a game-changer on this concourse. The clubs that we build are beautiful in general, but this is really creative for the guest experience because when we think about our clubs, we really are very focused on the experience of the guest."

In terms of access, the new Sky Club inherits the same access policies as any other Delta lounge. Travelers in long-haul premium cabins, Sky Club membership holders, and select credit cardholders are eligible to use the lounge. Delta has implemented limits on credit card entry to help curb overcrowding, including capping the number of annual visits for cardmembers and only allowing entry within three hours of departing flights, not applicable to connections.

The design features localized design motifs, partitioned spaces for privacy, and a variety of seating options, including recliners, couches, and bar-style seats. The lounge includes a bar and dining area, buffet stations, and a theater-style media wall near the business area. However, it lacks an outdoor Sky Deck and shower suites, amenities found in other Delta lounges in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.

Though lacking some amenities, the lounge offers power outlets, USB-A and USB-C ports at nearly every seat, and fast, free Wi-Fi. The restrooms are well-designed with marble and wood finishes.

Although Delta's new Sky Club in Atlanta focuses on providing ample seating over other amenities, it represents a significant upgrade at the airline's largest hub and is expected to be popular among travelers from the time it opens.
