Ethiopian Airlines to start Sharjah flights in June with Boeing 737 MAX

Ethiopian Airlines has announced it will start a passenger flight service to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, beginning June 1, 2025. This new service will operate four weekly flights, joining one of the UAE's dynamic cities renowned for its rich cultural and economic offerings.

Flights will be operated using Boeing 737 MAX aircrafts. The flight schedule includes ET 622 departing from Addis Ababa on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 10:05 p.m., landing in Sharjah at 03:25 a.m. Meanwhile, ET 623 will leave Sharjah on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 04:25 a.m., arriving back in Addis Ababa at 07:45 a.m.

Ethiopian Airlines currently operates over 100 weekly passenger and cargo flights to more than 17 destinations in the Middle East. The airline has served the region since 1979 when it began flights to Dubai. The new Sharjah route aims to further boost trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Ethiopia and the UAE, all while emphasizing the airline's commitment to safety, reliability, and quality service.
