United Airlines has expanded its presence in Asia with the launch of a new route connecting Guam and Taipei, inaugurated on April 2. The route, utilizing a 737-800 for twice-weekly flights, adds to United's portfolio of Asian destinations from Guam, which includes Manila, Nagoya, Osaka Kansai, Tokyo Haneda, and Tokyo Narita. United is currently the sole airline serving the Guam to Taiwanese capital route, following China Airlines' service cessation in February 2025.

Meanwhile, two airlines are now operating flights between Seoul Incheon and Prague. Asiana Airlines launched its first service on April 1, using A350-900s for the three weekly flights, joining Korean Air's four weekly 787 flights on the same route. Asiana's expansion into Europe brings daily service to Prague and marks a return to two carriers on this route, a situation not seen since 2020.

United Express has begun servicing a new route from Houston Intercontinental to Puerto Escondido, Mexico, starting April 5. This marks the first-ever US connection to Puerto Escondido. United now operates flights to 23 Mexican destinations, with a focus on using its Texas hub to facilitate numerous daily departures.

Expanding its US operations further, Norse Atlantic Airways has begun a route from Rome Fiumicino to Los Angeles, the longest in its network at 5,521 nautical miles. However, Athens to Los Angeles is set to surpass this in June. Initially planned as a thrice-weekly service, the Rome-LA route now operates five times weekly.

Air Canada has commenced its first flights to Manila from Vancouver as of April 2, using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This new addition marks Air Canada's efforts to cater to the substantial traffic between Canada and the Philippines, a market previously served by Canadian Airlines until 1999.

American Airlines has reinstated flights between Los Angeles and Pittsburgh after an eight-year hiatus. This move fills the void left by Spirit Airlines' departure in November 2024, restoring service frequency on the route.

Air Algerie has launched four weekly flights between Algiers and London Stansted, expanding its reach beyond existing operations at Heathrow. This addition represents a strategic move to increase the airline's London capacity.

Viva Aerobus has initiated a new service connecting Queretaro and Dallas/Fort Worth, starting on April 2. The Mexican low-cost carrier now offers flights from Queretaro to three U.S. destinations.

Discover, a leisure airline part of the Lufthansa Group, has commenced its second long-haul route to Windhoek, Namibia, from Munich. The new route, inaugurated on April 1, signifies a return of nonstop services after a seven-year absence.

Jetstar Airways has introduced a new Australian route from Cairns to Christchurch. This move aims to leverage the tourism potential between the two cities, with operations running three times weekly.

Lastly, Sri Lankan airline FitsAir has joined the Kuala Lumpur-Colombo route, offering four weekly flights, increasing the market's weekly one-way flights to 33. Further expansions are anticipated, with total operations expected to reach 39 flights weekly by year-end.
