The Aircraft Interiors Expo 2025 in Hamburg is serving as an important platform for companies in the aircraft interiors sector to showcase their latest offerings. Among them is Mirus Aircraft Seating, which has unveiled its latest product - the Falcon long-range economy seat. This development marks a significant milestone for Mirus, a company based in Norfolk, UK.

The new Falcon seat allows Mirus Aircraft Seating to provide an economy seating solution across all aircraft categories. Marcus Williams, Sales & Marketing Director, explained the journey. "We have had the opportunity to show Falcon behind closed doors to a select group of airlines, OEM and industry experts during the last two Expos," he shared. The design was finalized based on feedback from potential users, and it is anticipated to challenge existing market options. According to Williams, "We're now confident we're launching the best seat in its class... we're excited to see how it can disrupt the marketplace and drive Mirus' growth further."

Mirus Plans to make the Falcon available initially for retrofit projects, with a vision to secure line-fit optionality with major manufacturers in the future. The seat is versatile, suitable for narrowbodies like the Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 737 MAX, as well as for widebody twinjets like the Airbus A330, A350, and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It offers customizable features including fully integrated in-flight entertainment options.

In addition to the Falcon, Mirus also introduced the Hawk Duo at the expo. This seat is tailored for the competitive single-aisle economy market and is designed for aircraft such as those operated by mainline Airbus and Boeing. The Hawk Duo is lighter by 20% compared to its predecessor and is planned for deliveries to commence in the first quarter of 2026 after certification this year.
