Copa Airlines has announced the launch of a new service to Tucumán and the resumption of flights to Salta, both located in northwest Argentina, through its Panama hub. This announcement was made via an X post on April 4.

According to Aviacionline, Copa Airlines is set to resume flights to Salta, marking it as the airline's fifth destination in Argentina. This decision highlights the airline's commitment to expanding its network in the Southern Cone and enhancing regional connectivity. The announcement coincided with a visit by Argentine officials to Copa's headquarters in Panama City, where the airline confirmed Salta's inclusion in its strategic planning for 2023.

Aviacionline reports that the resumption of flights to Salta is part of Copa Airlines' broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Argentina. The route had been previously suspended due to the pandemic but is now being reinsaid as part of post-pandemic recovery efforts. This move is expected to boost tourism and economic ties between Panama and northern Argentina.
