Avianca has announced the launch of a new route between Bogotá and Dallas, scheduled to commence on May 26. This announcement was shared in a March 19 post on X.

According to a recent press release, Avianca is also enhancing connectivity between Florida and Latin America by introducing four new routes to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, as well as adding Tampa as a new destination. These initiatives aim to provide travelers with more direct options between key cities in both regions, underscoring Avianca's commitment to strengthening its international network.

As reported by Travel2Latam, Avianca concluded 2024 with nearly 38 million passengers transported and 24 new routes, setting a record in its 105-year history. This achievement marks a 27% increase in passengers compared to 2019 and a 19% rise over 2023 figures. The airline’s network now spans 167 routes across more than 25 countries, highlighting its dedication to accessibility and connectivity in Latin America.

According to Aviation Week Network, Avianca expanded its North American presence by launching a new service from Bogotá to Montreal. The four-weekly flights, starting March 31, will use Airbus A320 aircraft, offering 1,200 weekly seats between the cities. This move caters to the substantial Colombian community in Canada and aims to boost tourism and business travel between the two countries.

As detailed in Avianca's June 7, 2024 announcement, the airline resumed eleven direct international routes for the midyear season. These connect major U.S. cities like Chicago, Orlando, New York, Las Vegas, Miami, and Washington D.C., with various destinations in the Americas. Operated by A320 family aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers each flight represents a weekly offering of over 20,000 seats, enhancing Avianca's connectivity in the region.
