The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has identified a problem with the radio communications systems of the Boeing 787. The system, supplied by Collins Aerospace, causes very high frequency radio channels to switch between active and standby settings on the plane's tuning control panel. This issue presents the risk of flight crews missing important communications while in operation.
