Etihad Airways has announced the launch of new flights to Peshawar, Pakistan, commencing on September 29. This announcement was made via a post on X on April 9.

The airline is expanding its global network by connecting Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar. This move will provide seamless connections to Etihad’s growing list of destinations. According to Etihad Airways, Peshawar will become the airline’s fourth gateway to Pakistan and the sixteenth new destination for 2025. The expansion underscores Etihad's commitment to offering vital connectivity for travelers between Pakistan and regions such as the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America.

Initially, the new Abu Dhabi–Peshawar service will operate five times a week, with plans to increase frequency to daily flights starting November 22, 2025. The route will be serviced by Etihad's modern Airbus A320 family aircraft, which features eight seats in Business Class and 150 in Economy. This development enhances Etihad’s capacity to serve communities with historical and familial ties between the UAE and Pakistan.

According to Arab News, Etihad Airways' addition of Peshawar strengthens its growing network in Pakistan, which already includes services to Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. The Pakistani market is significant for Gulf carriers due to strong demand from laborers, tourists, and family travelers. Etihad’s ongoing investment in these routes supports increased regional mobility and bilateral connectivity.

Etihad Airways serves as the national airline of the United Arab Emirates and is headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Founded in 2003, it operates flights to over 70 destinations across various continents including the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America.
