The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced the introduction of its FACE Ambassadors Program aimed at attracting new talent to the air cargo industry. This initiative is designed to enhance awareness of career opportunities in air cargo through outreach initiatives and educational partnerships. Participants in the program will serve as industry advocates, sharing their experiences to inspire and mentor the next generation of professionals in air cargo.

They will contribute to the development and promotion of content for the FACE Summit, webinars, and digital outreach efforts. This involvement will help shape impactful learning experiences and foster talent development within the sector. According to a whitepaper by IATA, cargo leaders face challenges in recruiting and retaining skilled team members from the younger generation. The FACE Ambassadors Program seeks to address these challenges by portraying air cargo as a progressive sector with growth opportunities.

Program effectiveness will be monitored through a schedule of yearly activities and measured by outcomes indicating significant engagement with the industry. Brendan Sullivan, IATA’s Global Head of Cargo, highlighted, "Young professionals want meaningful careers with opportunities to grow, learn, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Air cargo delivers on all fronts—but we must do more to tell that story and create clear pathways into the industry. The FACE Ambassadors Program connects today’s leaders with those who have the potential to lead the industry in the future. To build a stronger and more resilient workforce for air cargo, FACE Ambassadors will offer guidance, and real-world insight into the great opportunities that exist in our industry."
