Clive Sauve-Hopkins CEO - Airport Operations | dnata

dnata, a global air and travel services provider, has achieved a significant milestone by handling over 1 million tonnes of cargo in Dubai between April 2024 and March 2025. This marks the highest volume processed by the company in a year.

The achievement signals a 30% increase compared to the previous year, driven by strong demand for dnata’s services. Operating from Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport, dnata serves over 120 airline customers, handling a range of cargo, including perishables, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, live animals, and vehicles.

Guillaume Crozier, dnata’s Chief Cargo Officer, commented, “We are incredibly proud to reach this milestone in Dubai, the birthplace of dnata and our largest cargo station. This achievement reflects the strength of our operations and the vital role dnata plays in enabling the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the emirate.”

Crozier further stated the company's success is built on the commitment of its people and the collaboration with partners such as Dubai Airports, Dubai Customs, and Dubai Police. “We will continue to invest in our operations to contribute to Dubai’s success and growth as a major gateway for commerce, connectivity, and innovation.”

dnata employs over 2,000 professionals at Dubai’s two airports and recently implemented OneCargo, a digital management system that automates essential functions and enhances business performance through AI-driven tools. The system improves visibility in shipment tracking and matches real-time demand with capacity.

The integration of autonomous drones into dnata’s operations has reduced processing times and increased shipment tracking accuracy. Sustainability efforts include transitioning their ground support equipment fleet to biodiesel and recycling materials such as cargo pallets.

Globally, dnata provides ground handling and cargo services at over 90 airports in 16 countries. In the financial year 2023-24, dnata handled 2.9 million tonnes of cargo worldwide, representing a 5% increase year-over-year.
