San Bernardino International Airport has announced its focus on promoting Breeze Airways' low fares and $5 daily parking as an affordable travel option for Tax Day. The announcement was made on the social media platform X on April 15.

According to the Inland Empire Community News, Breeze Airways began its service from San Bernardino International Airport in August 2022, offering nonstop flights to San Francisco and Provo. This partnership was seen as a significant development for residents of the Inland Empire, who previously had limited access to commercial flights within the region. With its April 15 Tax Day message, FlySBD aligned its marketing strategy with a broader goal of making travel more accessible during a period when many Americans are managing financial burdens.

FlySBD’s official website states that daily on-site parking at San Bernardino International Airport is available at a flat rate of $5.00, with parking lots located directly across from the terminal entrance. This rate is notably lower than those at other regional airports, such as Ontario International Airport ($18) and Los Angeles International Airport ($30). The airport highlights the convenience of this arrangement, which eliminates the need for shuttle transfers and provides quick terminal access for all passengers.

The Inland Empire Community News reports that Breeze Airways currently offers nonstop service from SBD to San Francisco (SFO), Provo (PVU), and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), with some flights continuing to Hartford, Connecticut. The Phoenix route, launched in February 2024, represents the airline’s third nonstop destination from SBD, broadening options for both business and leisure travelers. These flights align with Breeze’s model of connecting underserved regional airports to larger hubs with affordable fares and limited layovers.

According to FlySBD, San Bernardino International Airport is a commercial airport located in Southern California’s Inland Empire, providing scheduled passenger service through its partnership with Breeze Airways. The airport's mission is centered around offering affordable, convenient air travel options for Inland Empire residents while emphasizing user-friendly amenities like low-cost parking and minimal wait times. Since beginning passenger operations in 2022, SBD has positioned itself as a growing regional hub and an alternative to larger, more congested airports in the area.
