Nearly 300 passengers of Delta Air Lines faced an unexpected ordeal on April 10th when two separate flights were diverted, leading to them being confined within the aircraft cabins overnight. The passengers, after already spending several hours in flight, had to endure additional time onboard from approximately 9pm until 5:30am.

The situation unfolded in what was described as a "series of unfortunate events," resulting in a long and uncomfortable night for those aboard. The circumstances leading to this incident are under review as part of an examination into the events of that evening.

Delta Air Lines has not provided further details or comments regarding the specific reasons for the diversions or the passengers' extended time inside the jets.
