Global Airlines has started accepting bookings for its first flights operating between the United Kingdom and New York City. The airline's initial routes include Glasgow and Manchester airports as departure points, with flights landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. Ticket prices range from approximately $373 in economy class to $4,647 in first class.

Despite this development, Global Airlines is yet to secure its air operator’s certificate (AOC). For now, the flights will be managed by Hi Fly, a company based in Portugal.

On April 15, Global Airlines announced that passengers can now book their seats for flights operating from Glasgow Airport and Manchester Airport to New York. The scheduled flights from Glasgow to New York will depart on May 15 at 11:00 and will land at 13:00, with the return leg leaving New York at 08:00 and arriving in Glasgow at 19:15. Meanwhile, flights from Manchester are set to fly on May 21 at 12:25, with the return flight departing New York on May 25 at 08:55 and landing in Manchester at 20:40.

Passengers have the option to purchase tickets in economy, business, and first class. The price varies, with the Glasgow to New York economy class ticket sold for $619.58. A business class journey on the same route costs $2,711, while the first-class ticket is priced at $4,650.

“You can now book your seats on the flights from Manchester and Glasgow to New York, JFK. Will you be one of the very first people to book your seat and fly on 9H-GLOBL?” Global Airlines communicated, signaling the commencement of its bookings.

Although Global Airlines currently lacks its own AOC, the flights will be managed by Hi Fly, which has a Maltese AOC. The aircraft, which is an Airbus A380 previously operated by Singapore Airlines, is painted in Global Airlines’ colors and was renovated to fit the newly established airline's preferences. The cabin refinements took place at Beja Airport in Portugal, where it arrived this January.

James Asquith, the founder and CEO of Global Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the aircraft, noting, “There is no better sight than seeing the A380 in the sky where it belongs.”

The commercial service is set to start in May with Hi Fly performing as the operative entity for the time being.
