British Airways plans to offer up to 55 daily flights to the US and Canada from London Heathrow and London Gatwick during the peak summer period. This frequency, reminiscent of September 2019, includes flights not just from the UK, but also ranks fourth when compared to North American carriers like United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines. However, this level of service will only occur on eight peak Saturdays through July and August.

According to British Airways, the planned summer schedule includes 31 routes, 26 from Heathrow and five from Gatwick. Dallas flights are presently on hold but will resume on October 26. Even in collaboration with American Airlines, only British Airways' own flights are detailed in this announcement.

A significant portion of the flights, approximately 38%, will use the Boeing 777-200ER. The airline explained that this aircraft will mainly service routes with more tourism traffic, such as those from Gatwick, which features a configuration with more economy seats.

Notable weekly frequencies from Heathrow include eight daily flights to New York JFK and three daily flights to cities such as Boston, Chicago O'Hare, and Los Angeles. Destinations such as Houston, Newark, and San Francisco will see flights twice daily, while others like Atlanta and Miami will have daily services.

Recent changes in British Airways' services have been highlighted by various increases and decreases in destinations. For instance, flights from Heathrow to Austin have increased from daily to 13 weekly. Washington Dulles flights have been upped from two to three daily. Meanwhile, Vancouver will offer three daily flights, reflecting growth in demand, while Houston services have seen an increase but will slightly decrease in August.

San Diego flights have experienced a minor reduction from last year's double daily service to 13 weekly, targeting improved yields and load factors, with prospects for change in 2026.
