At present, two widely-used credit cards have introduced targeted offers, providing potential savings of $100 or $200 on Away luggage purchases. These savings come in the form of a statement credit, contingent upon meeting specific spending criteria.

The first offer is part of a Chase Offer available on the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. This offer provides a $200 statement credit after spending $500 on purchases made directly with Away. Another offer is available on the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, offering a $100 statement credit following a $400 expenditure on Away purchases.

For those without these cards, it is essential to note that the Chase Sapphire Preferred currently has its largest welcome bonus since 2021. Cardholders can earn 100,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 within the initial three months of account activation.

In addition to these offers, Away has a current promotion that provides a $50 discount on the purchase of two bags. This means that purchasing two Away Carry-On bags totals exactly $500 before taxes. With the Chase Offer of a $200 statement credit after a $500 spend, this results in an effective price of $150 per bag.

Prospective buyers are encouraged to commence their purchase through platforms like Rakuten to gain additional points or cash back on the transaction.

Summer Hull of The Points Guy suggests that the regular Away Carry-On is a viable option for those who don’t require additional space or frequently travel on international airlines with stricter carry-on limits.
