Emirates is preparing for a busy travel period from April 18 to April 21, as the airline anticipates more than 300,000 travelers to commence their journeys from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. Given the expected congestion, Emirates advises passengers to arrive early and have all necessary travel documents ready to avoid delays.

Various check-in options are available, including online check-in through the Emirates website or app 48 hours before departure, providing digital boarding passes to travelers. For those departing from Terminal 3, check-in counters will open 24 hours before flight departure, with a reduced window of 12 hours for US-bound flights. Emirates encourages travelers to drop off their baggage the night before or check in early to expedite their passage through Immigration or utilize the biometric gates for a quick clearance.

Emirates offers additional check-in facilities at the City Check-In & Travel Store at ICD Brookfield Place in DIFC and Ajman Central Bus Terminal, both allowing check-ins from 24 to 4 hours before departure, except for US-bound flights.

Passengers are reminded to clear passport control and security at least 90 minutes before departure. Those in Premium Economy or Economy Class should reach the boarding gate no later than 60 minutes before departure. First and Business Class travelers must be at the gate 45 minutes prior to departure. Boarding gates will close 20 minutes before takeoff, with no exceptions for late arrivals. Emirates emphasizes that check-in and gate closure timings will be strictly enforced to maintain punctual flight departures.
