Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) is set to feature its temperature-controlled logistics solutions at the upcoming Korea Cold Chain exhibition, taking place from April 22 to 25, 2025, in Ilsan, South Korea. FedEx will be the sole international express transportation company participating in the event, held at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) 1.

The Korea Cold Chain exhibition, hosted by the Korea Food Cold Chain Association and KY Expo, receives support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA). The international event will highlight advancements in cold chain logistics, showcasing methods of transporting, distributing, storing, packaging, and managing supply chains for sectors such as fresh food and healthcare. Concurrently, the 15th Korea International Materials Handling & Logistics Exhibition (KOREA MAT) will also be held.

At the FedEx booth, themed “FedEx”, “Express”, “Freight”, and “Cold Chain”, visitors will find a broad range of services offered by the company. The focus will be on comprehensive cold chain logistics, catering to temperature-sensitive shipments like fresh produce and pharmaceuticals. FedEx's display will include their Life Science Centers and the FedEx Surround Monitoring and Intervention solution, which enhances shipment visibility and control. Experts from FedEx will be present to engage with current and potential clients from Korea and elsewhere.

A virtual tour of the FedEx Life Science Center in Gimpo will be available at the FedEx booth. This facility was extensively upgraded in November 2024, expanding its area to 2,288 square meters and incorporating five temperature-controlled zones. These zones, ranging from -150°C to +25°C, align with pharmaceutical cold chain standards and are continuously monitored.

FedEx will also take part in a seminar titled "2025 New Technologies Advancing Cold Chain Innovation" on April 23. Wonbin Park, FedEx Korea’s managing director, will present "FedEx Healthcare Cold Chain Solutions", which will address trends in cold chain logistics and the importance of biopharmaceutical logistics. The presentation will also cover the company’s strategies to enhance its healthcare logistics through advanced facilities at the FedEx Life Science Center and Incheon Gateway.

Wonbin Park commented on the event, saying, “The significance of cold chain logistics continues to rise globally, and Korea plays a pivotal role in driving its ongoing advancement. We are committed to investing in Korea and introducing customizable end-to-end solutions to meet the evolving demands of our customers.”
