EVA Air has announced on the social media platform X that it is promoting spring travel to Japan during the peak cherry blossom season, a major attraction for international tourists.

Cherry blossom season, known as "sakura" in Japan, is a significant cultural event attracting millions of tourists annually. The blossoms typically reach full bloom between late March and early April, offering a brief yet stunning display lasting only a few days. According to Business Insider, this fleeting beauty draws international travelers and boosts tourism in prime locations across Japan.

In March 2025, Japan welcomed a record 3.5 million foreign visitors in a single month. The Japan National Tourism Organization reported that the cherry blossom season played a significant role in this surge, with record arrivals from the United States and Canada. This influx of tourists positively impacted Japan's economy, with visitor spending reaching 2.27 trillion yen ($16 billion) in the first quarter of 2025.
