Flying Food Group announced its April Sustainability Report, highlighting new plastic-free office initiatives, distribution of reusable water bottles to employees, support for Earth Day reforestation efforts, and a broader push to promote eco-friendly living. The report was shared in the latest edition of Greener Runways.

According to the April 2025 Sustainability Report, Flying Food Group (FFG) has committed to removing plastic water bottles from its offices, starting April 10 at its Sangamon headquarters. The company installed Quench water filter stations that provide both hot and cold filtered water. To further support this eco-friendly shift, the company will no longer purchase plastic water bottles for office use.

The report states that FFG is providing every employee with a reusable water bottle to encourage the use of new water stations and eliminate waste from plastic and Styrofoam cups. This initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and supporting long-term sustainability in the workplace. "We believe in making a positive impact on our Planet and are taking the steps in our own offices to start," the company said.

According to the report, FFG is also aligning its internal efforts with global environmental movements, including Earth Day on April 22. The company announced a donation to One Tree Planted, supporting reforestation and wildlife aid in California—home to many of its employees—following recent wildfires. These efforts are part of a larger environmental awareness campaign tied to Earth Day’s 2025 theme: Our Power, Our Planet.

As part of its "Recipes 4 Better" initiative, FFG celebrated National Gardening Day on April 14 by encouraging employees to start their own sustainable gardens.
