The Airbus Corporate Jets ACJ380 is recognized as the world's largest and most expensive private jet. Derived from the Airbus A380 commercial jetliner, this model offers unprecedented luxury and space. Initially priced at $450 million, customization could raise the cost to around $600 million. The aircraft's size allows for extensive modifications, making it a symbol of prestige and affluence.

Royalty, including Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, have shown interest in the ACJ380, which he commissioned in 2007, dubbing it "The Flying Palace." Though the exact cost of his customized A380 remains undisclosed, estimates suggest it surpassed half a million US dollars. The Prince's existing fleet of private jets includes a customized Boeing 747, underscoring his penchant for luxury air travel.

Airbus introduced the A380 in the early 2000s, aiming at a niche market. The aircraft's capacity to seat 853 passengers and comprehensive customization options make it an ideal choice for the wealthy. Airbus highlighted the A380's appeal, stating, “With its unique cabin architecture and the quietest cabin in the sky, the A380 has unmatched passenger appeal. The A380 has been voted as the best aircraft type by Global Traveler's readers, confirming that the A380 is truly a passenger favourite.”

Customization of the ACJ380 allows for installations such as private bedrooms, conference rooms, and garages for luxury cars. The Airbus A380's design includes substantial cargo and passenger spaces, with multiple decks and glass elevators connecting them. The aircraft's structure includes carbon fiber materials, enhancing fuel efficiency and performance.

Despite its high cost, the ACJ380 represents the pinnacle of private air travel, offering features tailored for affluent clients. Gary Doy, co-founder of Design Q, commented on the customization, stating, "It is something very special and there is nothing like it on the market yet. There is everything a billionaire could want. We're not trying to put a hotel in the air, it is tailored to the needs of flying, and has unique features that fit into that. The Turkish bath is particularly spectacular, a steam room with marble, low lights and lots of spa treatments to choose from."

Airbus and Paramount Business Jets note the aircraft's capabilities, emphasizing its range, comfort, and eco-efficiency. The A380 remains a favorite in its class, offering spacious cabins with reduced noise levels.

Paramount Business Jets describes the A380 as capable of "flying halfway around the world with ease," pressurized to enhance comfort, and equipped with large windows and spacious cabins, making it a customer favorite.

Prince Al Waleed's ownership of the ACJ380 marks a notable milestone in private aviation, setting a new standard for luxury in the skies.
