Virgin Atlantic operates flights from three UK airports—London Heathrow, Manchester, and Edinburgh. In 2025, the carrier introduced new destinations, including Riyadh and Toronto, with inaugural flights starting in March. Virgin Atlantic plans to begin a Heathrow to Cancun service and resume flights to Tel Aviv in October.

The airline, founded in 1984, uses London Heathrow as a hub and serves 29 passenger destinations, although this number is subject to change. Their fleet comprises A330-300s, A330-900s, A350-1000s, and 787-9s. The airline's operations exclude a Brussels freight-only service. Virgin Atlantic sees significant flight activity to the US, partly due to its joint venture with Delta Air Lines. When flights to India are included, three in four departures involve these regions.

Virgin Atlantic's frequency includes up to seven daily flights to New York JFK, triple daily to Los Angeles, and up to 17 weekly flights to Orlando. Other notable routes from Heathrow include double daily flights to Delhi, Miami, and Mumbai.

From Manchester, Virgin Atlantic will operate about 42% of transatlantic services on five routes, having replaced partner Delta's services in the past. The Manchester network includes flights to Orlando, Atlanta, New York JFK, Las Vegas, and Barbados.

Lastly, Virgin Atlantic operates seasonal flights between Edinburgh and Orlando, utilizing the A350-1000 aircraft with a seating capacity of 397.
