Delta Air Lines is enhancing its engagement with the South Florida community by participating in environmental partnerships and volunteer activities. The airline continues its collaboration with a nonprofit organization focused on coastal ecosystem restoration through mangrove planting and education. For five years, Delta has partnered with MANG to support the protection and revitalization of Florida’s coastlines.
Delta involved a group of volunteers, including employees and customers, in two noteworthy events: a mangrove planting on April 10 and an educational session on April 22. These activities aim to restore habitats, improve water quality, and protect shorelines. These efforts are part of Delta’s Global Volunteer Month, featuring over 100 volunteer opportunities to celebrate its Centennial. The mangrove planting is among the environmental events Delta organized during Earth Month.
“Partnering with MANG Foundation is important for us because it allows Delta to give back in a tangible way, while promoting sustainability and resilience in communities we serve,” said Ignacio Borbolla, Delta’s Regional Manager. “This collaboration reflects our values and the deep connection we have with the people and the environment of South Florida.”
