Hainan Airlines has announced the introduction of exclusive discount vouchers for international transfer passengers at Haikou Meilan International Airport. The announcement was made in a post on X.

According to Hainan Airlines’ official account on X, the initiative is designed to enhance the airport experience for connecting passengers by offering vouchers that can be redeemed at the T1 and T2 enquiry counters. This move is part of the airline’s strategy to promote Haikou as a transfer-friendly hub for international travelers.

A public announcement from Hainan Airlines on Facebook detailed that the voucher program, launched on April 15, 2025, includes accommodation vouchers for layovers ranging from 4 to 72 hours and RMB 40 dining vouchers for layovers of up to 4 hours. These counters operate during primary flight hours and offer bilingual assistance, facilitating easy access for transiting travelers. Their central location is intended to streamline the voucher collection process and encourage high redemption rates among eligible flyers.

Founded in 1993 and based in Haikou, Hainan Province, Hainan Airlines operates a global network connecting Asia, Europe, and North America. The airline has received the Skytrax 5-Star Airline rating multiple times and is recognized for its premium cabin service and in-flight experience. As part of the HNA Group, Hainan Airlines continues to prioritize passenger satisfaction through innovative service offerings like this voucher program.
