Norse Atlantic Airways | Official Website

Norse Atlantic Airways has revised its winter schedule, cutting three US routes and reducing flights by 52% compared to the previous year. The routes eliminated are Athens to New York JFK, Berlin to JFK, and Paris CDG to Los Angeles. While Athens to JFK was not expected to operate during winter, the cuts reflect the airline's shift toward charter and leasing agreements.

Norse recently ended its London Gatwick to Las Vegas route, with London Gatwick to Miami ending in October. Despite these reductions, the airline plans to introduce new routes, including Rome to Los Angeles and Athens to Los Angeles.

The airline's US winter flights from December to February will be significantly fewer, emphasizing the importance of adjusting capacity based on seasonal demand. Cirium Diio data indicates that the number of flights in December-February will be 3.9 times lower than those in June-August 2025. This compares to a difference of 2.9 times last year.

The Berlin to New York JFK route, served since August 2022, will end on September 26. Despite achieving 86%-89% load factors last winter, it will not operate in the 2025-2026 winter season.

For the upcoming winter, Norse will operate five US routes, including London Gatwick to Orlando and New York JFK, Paris CDG to New York JFK, and Rome Fiumicino to New York JFK and Los Angeles.

Additionally, Norse will run four non-US routes during the same period, including new routes to Bangkok from London Gatwick and Stockholm Arlanda, and existing routes from London to Cape Town and Oslo to Bangkok.

Norse's strategic adjustments aim to align flight offerings with demand, enhancing fares, yields, and load factors in challenging winter months.
