Ultra-long-haul flights, reaching up to 19 hours and 15 minutes, continue to push the boundaries of air travel. Among the longest are Singapore Airlines' services from New York JFK and Newark to Singapore, operating the Airbus A350-900ULR with exclusively premium cabins. Notably, Cathay Pacific's service from Dallas/Fort Worth doesn't meet the duration for this list, as it clocks in at a maximum of 16 hours and 40 minutes.

The list of the world's longest nonstop flights currently does not consider one-stop routes. Presently, the longest one-stop flight is the Aircalin service between Nouméa and Paris CDG via Bangkok, with a duration of 25 hours and 40 minutes.

The listing of airport pairs is based on data submitted by airlines to OAG and Cirium Diio, covering the period from May to December 2025. Flight patterns may shift due to temporary bans, such as Pakistan's restriction on Indian carriers, which necessitates refueling stops in Europe for certain routes.

United Airlines' service from Houston to Sydney, operational since January 2018, resumes for the northern winter season in October 2025. Initially paused in March 2020 due to the pandemic, the route has been served by retrofitted 257-seat 787-9 aircraft.

With a block time of up to 17 hours and 35 minutes, United's flight is the longest by a U.S. passenger carrier, although American Airlines' Dallas/Fort Worth to Brisbane and Delta Air Lines' Johannesburg to Atlanta flights are comparable.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, United carried approximately 45,000 passengers on its Houston-Sydney route last year with a 72% load factor. A significant portion of these travelers connected through Houston, with Newark-Sydney being the most popular connecting segment.
