Melbourne, Australia - dnata and Jetstar have reached an agreement to extend their partnership for an additional four years. This collaboration has now been expanded to include Jetstar Asia operations based in Singapore.

The renewed contract will allow dnata to supply retail products across Jetstar's Asia Pacific network. This includes operations such as Jetstar Airways in Australia and New Zealand, Jetstar Asia from Singapore, and Jetstar Japan. Efforts will be made to jointly develop menus offering a variety of pre-order and buy-on-board options for millions of passengers annually.

Lou D’alessio, Chief Retail Officer at dnata Catering & Retail Australia, commented on the importance of data analysis in keeping up with inflight retail trends: “The ever-changing inflight retail trends make data analysis crucial for developing and evolving menus based on customer feedback and sales. dnata has announced further investments aimed at growth in Australia, including a new AUS$ 17 million inflight catering center at Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport. This facility is expected to produce a significant volume of meals annually. In addition, dnata has partnered with Melbourne Airport to expand its existing facility, boosting its capacity to over 25 million meals a year. This AUS$ 50 million initiative signifies dnata's commitment to meeting the evolving catering and retail needs of its clientele.

With operations at nine airports across the country and a team of over 4,000 hospitality professionals, dnata provides services to more than 40 airline customers, including Jetstar. In the financial year 2023-24 alone, they uplifted over 50 million meals for upwards of 300,000 flights within Australia. In 2024, dnata invested over AUS$ 200 million in locally sourced products from Australian suppliers.

Internationally, dnata’s catering and retail division is recognized as a major player in inflight hospitality, preparing more than 110 million meals annually from 60 locations for various airline carriers.
