Emirates Airline and Philippine Airlines (PAL) are exploring the potential of expanding their partnership through a possible reciprocal code-sharing agreement. This collaboration would cover flights between the Philippines and Dubai and potentially extend to additional routes beyond their current gateways. If realized, this partnership would offer travelers improved connectivity to destinations beyond the airlines' individual networks. Customers would benefit from the convenience of a single ticket, a unified fare, and one consistent baggage policy throughout their journey.

Both airlines plan to examine opportunities to strengthen their cargo interline cooperation. Additionally, they aim to exchange best practices in ground handling, catering, maintenance, and technical training. They also intend to organize joint familiarization trips for key media and trade stakeholders.

The airlines' relationship initiated with an enhanced interline agreement signed in March 2023. This agreement has linked travelers to ten domestic locations via Cebu and Clark, as well as nine international destinations through Dubai. Passengers have enjoyed smooth travel experiences with convenient baggage handling across the two carriers' networks.

Emirates has been serving Manila since 1990 and has expanded its services to include connections to Cebu and Clark. Presently, Emirates operates 28 flights weekly to the Philippines, facilitating travel between Dubai and offering approximately 22,700 seats each week. The airline connects travelers to over 140 destinations worldwide from its global network.

Demonstrating its commitment to the Philippines, Emirates recently inaugurated its first Emirates World Store in Southeast Asia, located in Manila. This store aims to enhance the service experience for Filipino passengers, covering all aspects from booking to boarding.
