Sir Tim Clark President, Emirates Airline | Emirates Airline

Emirates Airlines continues to strengthen its reach in global tourism by renewing and forging partnerships with various national tourism boards. The airline is focusing on enhancing inbound tourism to Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Seychelles, The Bahamas, Warsaw, and Nigeria.

The renewed partnership with Tourism Malaysia highlights Emirates' commitment to promoting Malaysia. The airline plans to showcase the country's natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and culinary experiences across key markets in its global network. The collaboration also seeks to organize familiarization trips for media and travel agents to expand Malaysia's appeal as a premier tourist destination.

In Sri Lanka, the partnership with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) will focus on further developing the country's tourism and trade industries. Emirates aims to support Sri Lanka's tourism economy by showcasing the island nation to crucial feeder markets through joint initiatives and familiarization trips. The country recorded over 2 million visitors in 2024, with Emirates flying over 240,000 passengers from key markets including Russia and the US.

With the Moroccan National Tourist Office, Emirates will explore initiatives to boost tourism from vital destinations on its global network. Morocco aims to double its tourism sector and become a top 20 destination worldwide, targeting 17.5 million annual visitors by 2026. Emirates' partnership will aid in achieving these goals by focusing on trade partner and tour operator programs, alongside marketing initiatives.

Seychelles continues its partnership with Emirates, which began in 2013, aiming to increase tourist traffic from significant markets. The island nation saw over 350,000 arrivals in 2024, assisted by targeted marketing campaigns in European regions like Austria.

In The Bahamas, Emirates will collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on promotional campaigns to enhance tourist arrivals, leveraging giveaways, special packages, and incentives targeted at key markets.

The Warsaw Tourism Organization teams with Emirates for the first time to increase passenger traffic to the city by developing advertising and familiarization initiatives. These efforts seek to highlight Warsaw's cultural offerings and reinforce its status as a Central European gateway.

Lastly, Emirates will work with Nigeria's Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, focusing on expanding Nigeria as a prime African holiday destination. This is aligned with Nigeria's tourism roadmap and is strengthened by a recent interline agreement with Air Peace, significantly broadening Emirates' coverage in the region.
