Emirates has renewed its Diamond Elite executive partnership with the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), a key player in the global cruise industry, representing over 90% of the ocean cruise fleet. This extended partnership allows Emirates to enhance its visibility in crucial cruise markets and align its strategy with Dubai's aim to become a leading global cruise hub.

"The extension of our Diamond Elite Partnership with CLIA comes at the right time for Emirates," said Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer. "We will strategically tap into the growth opportunity that the industry presents, especially across CLIA’s expansive business community."

Kazim further emphasized Dubai's growth as a cruise destination: "Through collaborative efforts with our partners, Dubai today benefits from an integrated air-land-sea proposition... and we remain committed to grow its appeal to an expanding base of cruise travellers."

Karyn Gruenberg, CLIA’s Managing Director of Enterprise Development and Senior Vice President of Membership, acknowledged the value of Emirates as a partner. "Emirates is a valued partner to the cruise industry, and their ongoing engagement as a CLIA executive partner demonstrates a strong commitment to furthering industry relationships and supporting CLIA’s important advocacy work on behalf of our members."

Emirates' renewed partnership includes access to cruise industry leadership events and sponsorship opportunities. This collaboration is expected to bolster Emirates' presence in the cruise market and foster growth in global cruise passenger movements.

Emirates, known as the world's largest international airline, continues to connect travellers to over 140 destinations. It operates the largest fleet of Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft, with the recent addition of the Airbus A350.

CLIA, based in Washington, DC, is a leading cruise trade association representing the majority of oceangoing member lines, offering a unified voice for the industry and supporting sustainable practices.
