June signals the official start of Pride month, providing an opportunity for individuals to make travel plans to celebrate in major U.S. cities. While hotel rates and airfare might be higher as travel dates approach, using points and miles can result in significant savings. Most flights originating from the U.S. incur a tax and fee of approximately $12 for a round-trip.

"Pride is a wonderful celebration of equality, freedom, and sacrifice," the report states, highlighting the enjoyment available from various events across different weekends for the duration of Pride month. Here is a look at some of the key celebrations in several cities and how to use travel rewards effectively.

New Orleans Pride, running from June 13-15, offers vibrant events including drag brunches, ghost tours, live music, a formal gala, and a parade. For travel to New Orleans, JetBlue offers flights starting at 10,400 TrueBlue points each way from the East Coast, while Southwest Airlines has one-way flights from Denver for 12,500 Rapid Rewards points. Within hotel accommodation, the Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans can be booked for 12,000 World of Hyatt points or $198 per night.
