June signals the official start of Pride month, providing an opportunity for individuals to make travel plans to celebrate in major U.S. cities. While hotel rates and airfare might be higher as travel dates approach, using points and miles can result in significant savings. Most flights originating from the U.S. incur a tax and fee of approximately $12 for a round-trip.

"Pride is a wonderful celebration of equality, freedom, and sacrifice," the report states, highlighting the enjoyment available from various events across different weekends for the duration of Pride month. Here is a look at some of the key celebrations in several cities and how to use travel rewards effectively.

New Orleans Pride, running from June 13-15, offers vibrant events including drag brunches, ghost tours, live music, a formal gala, and a parade. For travel to New Orleans, JetBlue offers flights starting at 10,400 TrueBlue points each way from the East Coast, while Southwest Airlines has one-way flights from Denver for 12,500 Rapid Rewards points. Within hotel accommodation, the Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans can be booked for 12,000 World of Hyatt points or $198 per night.

Capital Pride in Washington, D.C., spans from May 17 to June 8, marking the 50th anniversary of its Pride celebrations, complemented by hosting WorldPride 2025. Alaska Airlines offers flights from Seattle for 12,500 miles each way. For those visiting from the East Coast, American Airlines has flights to Baltimore/Washington International for 6,000 AAdvantage miles each way. Hilton and Hyatt offer numerous hotel options within easy reach of the city's events.

In Denver, the Pride festivities on June 28-29, feature a festival, a 5K run, and a parade with the Rocky Mountains as the backdrop. Southwest offers flights from Los Angeles starting at 8,500 Rapid Rewards points. United Airlines provides flights from Atlanta beginning at 15,000 MileagePlus miles one-way. Hyatt offers five properties in downtown Denver for stays using points or their annual free night certificate.

San Francisco's Pride parade on June 28-29 is one of the most renowned in the country, occurring alongside various events, including a fashion show during the preceding week. Flights to the city are available through American Airlines from East Coast cities for 17,500 Alaska Mileage Plan miles each way. Delta flights begin at 13,500 SkyMiles from Atlanta. The city's hotel award rates during Pride aren't as economical, prompting recommendations for cash bookings.

Chicago Pride Fest takes the stage on June 21-22, featuring events like a youth space, a pet parade, and a performance by the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus ahead of the parade on June 29. Delta offers award flights to Chicago starting from 8,000 SkyMiles one-way. American Airlines provides flights from Atlanta and Miami at 9,500 and 10,000 AAdvantage miles, respectively. Hyatt's Hotel Lincoln, close to Northalsted Pride events, can be booked for 15,000 points per night.

New York City Pride on June 28-29 brings forth a lineup that includes a parade, street fair, a Youth Pride event, and more. Delta flights from Boston to New York's LaGuardia Airport are available from 8,000 SkyMiles, while American Airlines offers trips from Miami to JFK Airport at 8,500 AAdvantage miles each way. Local hotels such as the Holiday Inn Express New York City - Chelsea are available for 65,000 IHG points per night.
