Delta Air Lines is expanding its flight schedule this fall, adding over 40 new flights to accommodate college football fans. The airline is increasing its services to provide approximately 8,000 additional seats, facilitating easier and more convenient travel for fans attending major games. Amy Martin, Vice President of North America Network Planning at Delta, stated, “College football is one of the great American traditions, and Delta is excited to help bring even more fans to the games that matter to them the most.”

The additional flights will serve several high-profile matchups, such as LSU vs. Clemson and Texas vs. Ohio State, as well as multiple Notre Dame home games. Delta will focus its increased capacity on game-day weekends, with flights primarily operating on Fridays and returning on Sundays.

The expanded route network will cover 25 cities, including South Bend, Columbus, Austin, Knoxville, and Gainesville, utilizing both Delta's mainline and Delta Connection services. These enhancements will complement Delta's existing schedule, offering fans direct flights or connections with minimal layovers to reach significant games.

“We’re making it easier for customers to be there for every kickoff, touchdown, and victory,” echoed Martin, emphasizing the airline's commitment to supporting college football fans throughout the season.
