Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline, recently announced the graduation of 974 students from its Aviation University. The ceremony took place on May 3, 2025, at the university and was attended by ambassadors, country representatives, airline executives, graduates' families, and distinguished guests.

Graduates specialized in fields like Aircraft Maintenance, Pilot Training, Cabin Crew, Commercial Operations, and Hotel Operations. The cohort included diverse African nationalities and 38 students from China. Among the graduates, 614 were female, and 360 were male. This achievement underscores Ethiopian Airlines' role in developing skilled aviation professionals in Africa and its ongoing partnership with China, which started with direct flights in 1973.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew shared his pride in the graduates, stating, “We are immensely proud to see our students graduate today, having successfully completed their training and demonstrated remarkable academic achievements. I am confident that you will carry this success into your future careers, leveraging the diverse resources you have gained from this esteemed university, which is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and staffed by seasoned aviation professionals. Ethiopian Aviation University will continue to be a center of aviation excellence, serving not only the continent and the region but also beyond.”
