Aeroméxico has announced the launch of new international routes from Mexico City to Cali, Panama City, Punta Cana, and Philadelphia.

According to Aviación al Día, Aeroméxico will initiate new international flights from Mexico City to Cali, Panama City, and Punta Cana starting in summer 2025. These routes will be operated daily using the airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft, which feature updated cabins and onboard Wi-Fi. This initiative is part of Aeroméxico’s strategy to strengthen its regional presence in Latin America and the Caribbean while providing enhanced connectivity options for travelers departing from Mexico City International Airport.

As reported by Philadelphia International Airport, Aeroméxico will begin offering nonstop daily service between Mexico City and Philadelphia on June 5, 2025. The route aims to foster stronger business, tourism, and cultural exchanges between the two cities, especially ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup that both cities will co-host. This new flight marks Aeroméxico’s return to Philadelphia and expands its U.S. footprint amid increasing travel demand between Mexico and the northeastern United States.

According to Mexico News Daily, Aeroméxico is implementing a post-bankruptcy growth strategy that includes launching new international routes and expanding its fleet. The airline plans to acquire 14 additional aircraft in 2025, increasing its total fleet size to 164. This expansion supports the carrier’s recovery and competitive positioning within the global aviation market following its Chapter 11 restructuring.

According to Aeroméxico’s official website, the airline is headquartered in Mexico City and operates as the country’s flag carrier with service to more than 80 destinations worldwide. A member of the SkyTeam alliance, Aeroméxico flies a modern fleet that includes Boeing 737 and 787 aircraft. The airline continues to invest in passenger experience, digital services, and global route expansion as part of its long-term transformation plan.
