Delta Air Lines has announced the addition of over 40 new flights for the 2025 college football season, aiming to enhance travel options for fans.

According to Delta News Hub, the airline is launching its most extensive college football flight schedule to date. These additional flights will provide over 8,000 seats and are strategically timed for weekends around major games. The new services will connect fans to 25 cities, including South Bend, Austin, Columbus, Knoxville, and Gainesville, ensuring direct access to key matchups.

As reported by Upgraded Points, Delta's expanded schedule supports some of the 2025 season's most anticipated matchups such as LSU at Clemson and Texas at Ohio State on August 30. Amy Martin, Delta's Vice President of North America Network Planning, says the goal is to ensure fans never miss a crucial game moment by providing easier travel options. The flights will be operated using a mix of mainline and regional Delta Connection aircraft.

According to The Points Guy, Delta’s additional flights are tailored for weekend travelers attending college football games. The service includes outbound flights on Fridays and return flights on Sundays. This new set of point-to-point routes spans 25 cities and aims to reduce travel friction for fans following their teams. The airline expects these routes to be especially popular with alumni groups and traveling supporters of major NCAA programs.

According to Delta Air Lines’ Wikipedia page, the airline is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, operating more than 5,000 daily flights across a global network serving six continents. As a founding member of the SkyTeam airline alliance, Delta maintains major hubs in cities such as Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis. It has consistently ranked among the top U.S. carriers for on-time performance and customer satisfaction.
