Emirates has announced the launch of a new daily flight route between Dubai and Hangzhou, marking an expansion into Eastern China. The service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, providing a total capacity of 2,478 weekly seats. Flight EK310 is scheduled to leave Dubai at 0940hrs and arrive in Hangzhou at 2200hrs, with the return flight EK311 departing Hangzhou at 0010hrs and landing in Dubai at 04:55hrs.

The timing of these flights is designed to offer connections to various destinations including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Brazil, and Argentina. Key cities such as Istanbul, Barcelona, Cairo, and Johannesburg are part of this network.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the significance of this new route: “Launching a new Dubai-Hangzhou route marks a pivotal moment in our operations in the Chinese mainland and broader East Asia region." He emphasized that Hangzhou's status as an emerging global hub for innovation presents opportunities for both passenger travel and cargo operations. Kazim added that this expansion aligns with Emirates' global growth strategy and strengthens economic exchanges between the Middle East and China.

Hangzhou is noted for its rapid development as a tech powerhouse. It hosts major companies like Alibaba Group and plays a significant role in China's digital economy. The city's blend of historical sites alongside its thriving tech industry offers diverse opportunities for visitors.

Emirates' Boeing 777-300ER will provide eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 Economy Class seats. Passengers can enjoy Emirates' inflight entertainment system featuring over 6,500 channels in multiple languages including Chinese.

Emirates SkyCargo aims to enhance trade ties through this new route by improving cargo services across East Asia. This includes reducing transit times for goods such as electronics and pharmaceuticals between China and regions like Africa and Latin America.

Starting from July 30th, Emirates will operate a total of 49 weekly flights to various destinations within China. This expansion underscores deepening UAE-China relations and supports objectives aligned with initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative.
