Getting to South Korea from the West Coast is becoming more convenient with a new nonstop service between Seattle and Seoul, starting on September 12. This service is operated by Hawaiian Airlines, known for its award-winning hospitality. To promote this new route, Alaska Air Group offers roundtrip fares for $999 from Seattle to Seoul, available for booking from May 6 through May 13.

Soojin Yu, Regional Director of Asia for Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines, provides insights into Seoul's appeal as a travel destination. She highlights the city's status as a hub for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. According to Yu, "Plus, as K-pop idols continue to rise in global popularity, many are launching their own pop-up stores to celebrate new albums, birthdays, debuts and more."

Yu also recommends attending the Seoul International Fireworks Festival in late September and visiting the Seoul Outdoor Library during its run from September 5 to November 2. She emphasizes the beauty of Seoul's royal palaces like Deoksugung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace during autumn.
