Additionally, it operates some of the airline's longest routes to destinations like Johannesburg, Cape Town, Delhi, Dubai, and Tokyo.

United Airlines' route from Newark to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg covers 7,988 miles with 31 monthly flights. This route serves business travelers and tourists while providing significant cargo opportunities.

The Newark to Cape Town route spans 7,816 miles with 14 monthly flights. Initially seasonal, this service has become year-round due to strong demand. It caters to both passenger traffic and cargo needs.

Flights from Newark to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi are another example of ultra-long-haul services by United using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This route supports the large Indian diaspora in New Jersey and offers extensive cargo capacity.

United also connects Newark with Dubai International Airport over a distance of 6,861 miles using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This partnership expands United's codesharing agreement with Emirates.

Finally, the route from Newark to Tokyo Haneda Airport is operated by Boeing 777-200ER aircraft covering 6,760 miles. It links United's East Coast network with its global partners at Tokyo Haneda.

These routes demonstrate United Airlines' strategic use of Newark Liberty International Airport as a hub for long-distance travel across continents.
