Global courier company FedEx has concluded its 2025 "FedEx Library" public welfare project. The initiative aims to improve reading conditions for children in under-resourced areas and rural communities across China. It has reached 40 schools and communities, benefiting nearly 9,000 rural children and teachers.

This year, the project established over 40 reading rooms or book corners in ten schools located in Henan, Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Tianjin, Anhui, and Shanxi. More than 12,000 books were donated as part of this effort. FedEx also organized the preparation of reading kits with the support of employee volunteers. A total of 900 reading kits were prepared for students from 24 schools and communities. Additionally, the FedEx China team donated around 700 second-hand books to provide resources for another seven rural primary schools serving about 3,000 students. Over seventy FedEx employees volunteered almost a hundred hours to enhance the reading environment for children and teachers.

Karen Reddington, Senior Vice President of FedEx Express Asia Pacific Division said: “Since pioneering entry into the Chinese market in 1984, FedEx has committed to connecting China with global markets while supporting the communities where we live and work through our network and resources. The 'FedEx Library' project leverages our professional strengths to help balance regional cultural differences and support rural revitalization development."
