Boeing has recently announced significant new aircraft orders as part of trade deals associated with President Donald Trump's state visits to the Middle East. The company secured 306 orders, including deals with International Airlines Group (IAG) and three Middle Eastern customers.

The International Airlines Group, which owns airlines such as Aer Lingus and British Airways, reported ordering 71 jets in total during its first-quarter financial results on May 9th. Of these, 38 were Boeing aircraft, including six options for Boeing 777-9s intended for British Airways. IAG stated: "These deliveries and future orders are part of the Group’s ongoing investment in new, modern aircraft to drive operational efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance onboard products for customers."

During President Trump's recent visit to the Middle East, Boeing announced further orders from regional carriers. Saudi Arabian lessor AviLease signed a deal for 20 Boeing 737 MAX jets with an option for an additional ten. Qatar Airways placed a substantial order for 160 firm aircraft from the Boeing 777X and 787 families, plus options for another 50. Etihad Airways also joined with an order for 28 Boeing jets.

President Trump traveled on Air Force One during his trip to the Middle East. The journey required a refueling stop at RAF Mildenhall in the UK before continuing to Riyadh. A similar stopover is planned on his return flight to the US.
