The eighth-shortest corridor connects Gatwick with Verona, Italy over a distance of 645 miles. British Airways has scheduled 40 flights each way for May, operated mostly by BA Euroflyer's Airbus A320s.

Salzburg, Austria is served all year round from Gatwick and ranks seventh at 637 miles away. All scheduled flights for May will be operated by BA Euroflyer's A320-200 aircraft.

At number six is Nice, France, located 622 miles from Gatwick. This popular destination has an average of nearly two daily flights in each direction during May.

Montpellier in southern France is the fifth-shortest route at 558 miles. It is served seasonally by British Airways while easyJet offers year-round service.

Turin, Italy comes fourth on the list at a distance of 547 miles. The route has near-daily service planned for May with multiple operators involved including BA Euroflyer and Titan Airways.

Bordeaux in France stands third among the shortest routes at just 437 miles away. Scheduled services include more than one round trip per day on average throughout May.

Glasgow represents the second-shortest domestic route from Gatwick at 370 miles. Notably, these flights are operated using Emerald Airlines ATR 72 turboprop aircraft which offer reduced capacity compared to other aircraft types used by British Airways.

Finally topping the list as the shortest route is Jersey in the Channel Islands with only a span of just over half that between Glasgow and London—161 miles apart—and frequently shorter actual flight times due to its proximity.
