According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, Singapore Airlines is set to operate its longest Boeing 737 MAX routes in May. Among these are flights to several cities in India and China.

Next on the list is Chennai, India. "Singapore Airlines flies to eight cities in India," the release notes. For Chennai, there will be 21 flights each way carrying a total of 3,234 seats.

In China, Xiamen is another destination served by daily flights from Singapore using the MAX 8 aircraft. "Xiamen Air operates multiple flights daily," it adds.

Chongqing follows as another Chinese city on the list with scheduled daily flights by Singapore Airlines. The airline plans to offer substantial seating capacity on this route as well.

In Bengaluru, India, Singapore Airlines has scheduled eight flights each way for May. Kempegowda International Airport serves this bustling Indian city.

Chengdu-Tianfu International Airport in China also features among these long-haul routes. "Chengdu-Tianfu opened in 2021," according to the information provided.

The fourth-longest route is from Singapore to Cochin (Kochi), India. The airline will fly twice-daily on this route using its MAX 8s.

Hyderabad in central India ranks third on this list with a flight distance slightly shorter than that to Darwin. "IndiGo is the only other airline operating on this route."

Darwin represents one of two non-Asian destinations among these long-haul routes for Singapore's MAX fleet. It stands as their second-longest flight at present.

Finally, Busan in South Korea tops the list as the longest planned operation for May with Singapore Airlines' Boeing 737 MAX aircraft heading there frequently throughout the month.
