Air Canada has introduced a new transatlantic flight from Montreal to Naples, Italy. The service, operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, offers four weekly flights and is part of the airline's effort to expand its network in Italy. This addition complements existing routes to Rome, Milan, and Venice.
The decision to launch this route was influenced by the growing number of Canadian tourists visiting Italy. Air Canada's Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer and President, Cargo, Mark Galardo, expressed enthusiasm about the new service: "We are thrilled to inaugurate new, non-stop service between Canada and Naples." He highlighted the appeal of nearby attractions such as the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii.
Elissa Golberg, Canadian Ambassador to Italy, emphasized that this connection strengthens ties between Canada and Italy in various sectors including business and culture. Italian Ambassador to Canada H.E. Alessandro Cattaneo noted the timeliness of the service with Naples hosting the America's Cup sailing competition in 2027.
