EVA Air is set to expand its operations in the United States with a new route connecting Taiwan to Dallas/Fort Worth, starting this October. This marks the first time since 2000 that an airline has initiated such a connection. The expansion aims to cater to increasing demand from business travelers.

The new service will feature direct flights from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Flights are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Sun Chia-Ming, President of EVA Air, noted that while cargo flights have been landing in Dallas since 1998, recent economic growth has prompted the introduction of passenger services.

"The opening of the Dallas direct passenger route makes us the only airline in Asia to operate two routes to Texas," said Sun Chia-Ming. He emphasized the convenience offered by connecting through one of the world's busiest airports.

This new route complements EVA Air's existing service to Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which began in July 2015 and has increased from four weekly flights to daily operations. The airline highlighted that flight timings allow passengers arriving in Taiwan early morning connections across Asia.

In addition to Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston Intercontinental services, EVA Air also offers flights to Chicago O'Hare International Airport, New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

With these additions, EVA Air will operate 376 weekly flights to the US, providing over 111,000 seats each way. According to Cirium data for December one-way flights: Los Angeles and San Francisco remain key destinations with high traffic volumes.

EVA Air is not alone in expanding trans-Pacific routes; China Airlines, Delta Air Lines, STARLUX Airlines, and United Airlines also offer US-Taiwan services this winter season.

The strong demand for Asia-US travel includes a significant number of business passengers. To address this market segment effectively, EVA Air launched BizFam—a program aimed at corporate customers offering comprehensive travel management solutions beyond flight bookings.

Charlie Pan from EVA Air’s Revenue Management Department stated: "EVA Air’s core value of treating business partners as family is deeply embedded in the launch of EVA BizFam." The initiative seeks long-term relationships with global partners through personalized services.

Looking forward, EVA Air plans further industry alliances and technological integration across tech hubs like Taiwan and California for enhanced corporate travel experiences on both sides of the Pacific.
