Cathay Pacific has reopened The Bridge lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, marking the first step in its broader lounge enhancement strategy. Located near Departure Gate 35 in Terminal 1, The Bridge offers a redesigned experience with new features and familiar favorites aimed at providing an elevated pre-flight environment.

The reopening of The Bridge is part of Cathay Pacific's plan to enhance its lounges in Hong Kong and other locations. This includes the upcoming renovation of The Wing, First, which will close on May 23 and reopen in 2026. During this period, The Deck will serve as an interim First class lounge starting May 21. Eligible customers can also visit The Pier, First and Business lounges.

Cathay Pacific plans to launch new flagship lounges over the next two years in Hong Kong, Beijing, and New York as part of a significant investment into new aircraft, cabin products, lounges, and digital innovations.

General Manager Customer Experience Design Guillaume Vivet stated: “Our goal was to create a space that feels genuinely welcoming — one that reflects our commitment to thoughtful, human-centric design.”

The Bridge's design emphasizes a residential ambiance with cherry wood elements, black granite and travertine surfaces, plants, furniture pieces, and original artworks from the "Gallery in the Skies" concept.

The lounge will soon introduce a biometric check-in system alongside traditional check-in desks for streamlined access. It is divided into two sections: the left side features Chinese cuisine including Cathay Pacific’s iconic Noodle Bar with signature dishes like wonton noodles; while the right side caters to international tastes with offerings such as beef bourguignon and Provencal vegetable bakes.

The Bar provides panoramic runway views where guests can enjoy cocktails or coffee. A relaxation area with bespoke Solo Chairs adds to the unique experience offered by The Bridge.
