Starting today, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) Business Class passengers traveling from or to Geneva can pre-order their main inflight meal at no extra cost for any short-haul flight lasting more than two hours. This new option is available for flights departing after 10:00 starting June 4, 2025.

SWISS has extended its pre-select meal option, which has been well-received on long-haul services and most short-haul flights from Zurich. Now, Business Class customers flying from or to Geneva can also choose their main inflight meal from six hot meal options up to 24 hours before departure. The service is available for flights leaving after 10:00.

The menu includes two exclusive dishes: a fish dish inspired by the 'SWISS Taste of Switzerland' menu typically offered on long-haul services, and the popular Zurich-style sliced veal with mushroom cream sauce and rösti. Additionally, there are four other hot meals comprising two vegetarian options and two meat dishes. This facility allows travelers access to an expanded menu range with usual accompaniments like salad, cheese, and dessert. The free option enables SWISS customers to personalize their culinary experience while promoting sustainable use of foodservice resources.

Offering a wider choice of inflight meals helps SWISS better plan its meal service provision, leading to more sustainable resource management by reducing unused meals and general food waste. Customers can order pre-select meals online via the SWISS Business Pre-flight Shopping webpage between six weeks and 24 hours before departure for flights leaving after 10:00. For earlier departures, the inflight foodservice remains unchanged.

Additionally, SWISS is expanding its pre-select meal options for long-haul services between Geneva and New York (JFK). First and Business Class guests on these flights can now also pre-order the Zurich-style sliced veal with mushroom cream sauce, a popular choice among Zurich-based long-haul travelers.
