Etihad Airways has announced via X that it will launch nonstop service between Abu Dhabi and Charlotte, North Carolina, starting May 4, 2026.

According to Etihad Airways' official announcement, the new route will operate four times weekly, directly connecting the two cities. This marks the first direct service between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Charlotte, enhancing connectivity between the Middle East and the southeastern United States. The flights will be operated using Etihad's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is set to become Etihad's sixth destination in the United States, joining New York, Chicago, Washington, Boston, and Atlanta. The addition of Charlotte expands Etihad's presence in the U.S. market and provides travelers with more options for transatlantic travel. CLT is one of the busiest airports globally, offering extensive domestic and international connections.

This service allows travelers to complete U.S. immigration and customs procedures before departure, facilitating a smoother arrival process in Charlotte. The preclearance facility is part of Etihad's commitment to enhancing the passenger experience.
