Emirates has announced the opening of a new travel store in Port Louis, Mauritius, and the renewal of its strategic partnership with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), as reported on X.

Emirates has been operating in Mauritius since 2002, significantly contributing to the island's global air connectivity and tourism economy. The airline provides daily services between Mauritius and Dubai, facilitating passenger traffic from key markets in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. According to the MTPA, Emirates has played a crucial role in enhancing Mauritius's visibility as a premium destination.

The newly inaugurated Emirates Travel Store covers 1,895 square feet and is situated at The Docks 2, United Docks Business Park in Port Louis. The store offers technology-driven experiences such as digital self-service kiosks, interactive displays of Emirates' inflight products, and personalized travel support from dedicated staff. Emirates states that this initiative aims to enhance customer engagement and provide a seamless travel planning experience.

In conjunction with the store opening, Emirates renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with the MTPA. This partnership, active since 2012, focuses on joint marketing efforts to promote Mauritius in key international markets including France, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Germany. According to Travel and Tour World, this collaboration has been instrumental in increasing tourist arrivals which surpassed 1.3 million in 2024.

Emirates is recognized as the world's largest international airline and is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The airline operates a modern fleet of over 250 aircraft serving more than 150 destinations across six continents. It is renowned for its commitment to excellence in service and innovation within the aviation industry.
