Etihad Airways is set to increase its Airbus A380 operations at London Heathrow Airport. Starting June 16, the airline will replace one of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights with an A380 on the Abu Dhabi to London route. This change will result in three daily A380 flights and one Dreamliner flight between the two cities.

According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, the affected flight is EY63, departing Abu Dhabi at 08:05 and arriving in London at 12:45. The return flight, EY64, leaves London at 14:45 and arrives back in Abu Dhabi at 00:45 the next day. This adjustment is expected to increase weekly capacity by approximately 1,104 seats each way.

Etihad's A380s feature a seating configuration of 405 economy class seats, along with 70 business and 11 first-class seats. The airline does not offer a premium economy cabin on these aircraft.

"There’s nothing quite like flying in an Airbus A380," Etihad states. "The unique double-decker aircraft has become synonymous with comfort, incorporating new technology and innovations to make every flight even more extraordinary."

From July onwards, Etihad plans to operate three daily A380 rotations five days a week on this route. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the Boeing 787 will continue service instead of the third A380 rotation. Future schedules indicate that Etihad will switch from using the Boeing 787-10 model to the mid-sized Boeing 787-9 for non-A380 flights between Abu Dhabi and London.
