FedEx has played a significant role in boosting the international reach of Colombia's fashion system, with over 4.2 million pounds exported through FedEx in the past eleven months. This development highlights a positive trend in the sector's internationalization.

Colombia's fashion and design segment benefits from key initiatives like FedEx's collaboration with Inexmoda and their joint program SONNAR, which provides learning, exhibition, and participation opportunities for entrepreneurs at national and international fairs.

“The talent and innovation of Colombia’s fashion system now have more paths to reach the world, and at FedEx we are proud to be part of that journey,” said Ana Lucía López, sales manager for FedEx in Colombia. “We accompany entrepreneurs in their growth process, convinced that internationalizing is not just about reaching new destinations but transforming business models with a global vision. We offer logistical solutions that enable sustainable, competitive, and lasting expansion.”

In line with this commitment, FedEx and Inexmoda launched the fifth consecutive annual edition of SONNAR in 2025. Nearly 500 entrepreneurs have participated since the program began.

This year, 40 companies were selected to begin an integrated process of strategic mentoring, specialized training, and connection with national and international commercial scenarios. Three brands—Cambil (Atlántico), Relicario (Santander), and Gracies (Antioquia)—were chosen to represent Colombia at Colombiamoda Miami. This event marks the international launch of Colombia Fashion Week from May 29 to 31 during Swim Week. It offers brands an opportunity to showcase their creative proposals to international buyers, specialized media, and industry influencers.

“Internationalization is much more than entering a new market; it is about transforming mindsets, evolving business models, creating connections, and positioning Colombian talent on the most important platforms of the global fashion system,” commented Manuela Gómez, head of internationalization at Inexmoda. “The participation of Cambil, Relicario, and Gracies in Colombiamoda Miami positions our creative diversity in one of the most vibrant cities for global design. Our goal is to continue building bridges so that more Colombian brands can reach the world with an authentic value proposition that is competitive, innovative, and sustainable.”

Looking ahead, FedEx and Inexmoda remain committed to expanding opportunities for Colombian fashion across more than 220 countries within FedEx’s extensive global network. Innovative programs like SONNAR have been crucial in opening new horizons for companies within Colombia’s fashion system as they strive to reach their full potential internationally.
